OSÉO anvar is assigned to backing innovation and technology transfer: project financing and guidance.
Ex-Anvar (national agency for the promotion of research, called "French Agency for Innovation"), a public institution, was created in 1968 for the promotion of scientific research.
Since 1979, Anvar has been managing innovation aid for creators, small-to-medium-sized businesses and laboratories. Anvar became a limited company in July 2005 within the scope of its merger with the BDPME (Small-to-medium-sized business development bank) which gave rise to the OSÉO group, headed by a structure with a status of national public industrial and commercial institution.
